Over and over again, one board is mentioned, and has been for years.

Oh, and you can add censorship. Not moderation of what appears on their board, mind, but going to other places like Escort Blogs, or private business sites and banning women saying things they don't want to hear, like how many of the reviews are easily faked to gain access to the site by those men who don't want to pay for membership. Read their terms; reviews equal free access.

Gee whiz...see any problems there?

Or about how rude and unpleasant clients who frequent that board act to the ladies? Many of us now have no interest at all in clients from The Erotic Review, as more authentic venues like blogs and websites provide a more respectful reflection of our personalities and much better clients than dinosaurs like The Erotic Review can ever hope to compete with.

Want to know who hasn't been laid since 1973 and gets off on posting demeaning and juvenile 'reviews' of women they've never seen in order to get access to The Erotic Reviews's fourth-rate Penthouse Letters knockoffs? I think I have had enough of TER guys. They think they can do and say whatever they want!

First off, TER is not thruthfull. Half of my reviews are fake. Someone just wanted to get a free membership so they write a fake review.

This one guys is harrassing me now, because he doesn't know if I "spit or swallow" WTF?

I DON'T DO EITHER, my health comes first. And now this guy is harrassing another one of my guys asking why he gave me a 10 since I dont do that.

My last email pretty much says, don't email me anymore, TER is not thruthfull and he needs to find someone else. Now usually I don't answer to AOL or people who can't type a complete sentence, but I'm feeling a bit like a bitch today and felt the need to tell a few assholes off....

Now the question is......How do I get my reveiws off? I have tried in the past and got them taken off back in 2002, but really....I don't like TER guys...I REALLY don't! They have no respect for women and are nasty fucking assholes....

I refuse to allow reviews on TER. I find it demeaning, degrading and disgusting. The men who are review obsessed are generally misogynistic pigs. I haven't had reviews there in YEARS and I do just fine. Don't allow anyone to tell you that you NEED reviews in order to be a successful sexworker. And truth be known, if a potential client is so obsessed that he won't see me without them, he's probably not my type of client anyway.

I totally agree with ya about TER being nasty.

I had all my reviews removed a long while ago and it didn't hurt me one bit!

All you should have to do is email their support and ask them to delist you - this may take a couple trys. If they fail to do so just have your attorney contact them for you and that should take care of it.

However, be aware that if you ask them to take down your reviews you will not be allowed to post or advertise on TER afterward. If you do not allow reviews on their site they will ban you. So if it is a site that you wish to maintain access to you may not want to remove your reviews.

I do know that myself and several other ladies removed our reviews and it has not had any ill effects on our client base. Best decision I ever made!

Best decision more and more of us are making every day.

Do yourselves a favour, boys; dump The Erotic Review. Find a board that respects both yourself and the ladies. Otherwise, we'll have to assume you're in it for the circle-jerks with the good 'ol boys rather than as a real man looking for his perfect lady to give him some fabulous lovin'! You're better than that aren't you?

I know this blog is going to make me extremely UNPOPULAR with the folks at TER, but...

The national boards don't give a flying fuck about you...and yet without you, they don't get reviews and without content, they can't sell memberships. We *are* their business.

I'm already banned on TER for "gettin' uppity". And it's an honour. We aren't slaves.

I swear to God, if there was a way to really rally the troops we could find a board run by decent people and give them the chance of a lifetime; getting *all* the women onboard who have been treated so poorly by TER. We'll drop TER on its ass.

It would be profoundly great if we could all post the blurb below, on the same day and get banninated like crazy.

"Due to the questionable business ethics of TER, we have joined the other (bazillion) women who will no longer contribute to a board that bullies, censors, and patronizes hard-working women who deserve better.

Can you just imagine TER mods going batshit?

Our sites could redirect them to the new board. We could have a brief blurb as to why we are re-posting TER reviews. We deserve more than the back of the bus and if we stick together on an issue like this, we have *enormous* power.

TER is very invested in us staying quiet, and so they target us one girl at a time. But if there are thousands of us, he *cannot* do it; that's why birds fly in flocks...safety in numbers really does work.

I'm sure that's the true purpose of the TER Mailbag; posting emails of women begging to be unbanned to knock that foolishness right out of our pretty little heads. I call bullshit on that. If clients know where our reposted reviews are - and believe me they will because this is going to cause an almighty uproar! - the type of clients we want will gladly jump ship.

The ones that stay? We don't want them. I'd rather have the guys who understand RESPECT, because they'll respect us. The guys who understand SMART is attractive in a woman, and STRENGTH is sexy.

We'll be getting tons of promotion from guys pissing and moaning, not understanding that we'll be getting tons of hits from the curious, wondering what the idiots are so worked up about.

It's always a lot harder to attack a movement, instead of screwing us over one at a time...which, incidently, works very well, so they have no reason to stop doing it.

I have a few questions, most importantly being; do you provide a way
for providers to respond to false reviews? This is a major issue these
days, especially to a board just starting out and looking for support
from the community.

As a board starting out, that's going to be very important if you want
providers to participate in any way, particularily if you want them to
pay to advertise. More and more of us have had it with how easy it is
for review boards to be used by malicious clients to smear a
provider's reputation with false reviews of sessions that didn't even
happen, or those who threaten us with a bad review if they don't get a reduced rate, or services we do not provide because of safety concerns.

I myself have a no review policy with all board save ones that give me a way to protect my livelihood from these unscrupulous people, and more ladies are changing to a NRP daily. I will support your board if I feel it'll support me by operating in an ethical matter.

negative and positive, about the practices of review boards. If you're
going to run a fair board with an opportunity for the providers who

I see fit.

Basically, running an ethical board is a win/win situation, because it
keeps the troublemakers and multiple handle cowboys off your board,

First let me say thank you for taking the time to even ask. Most people would not go to the trouble you did and take the time to write as much as you did. For that, thank you. That said, I am not new to running boards and/or the hobbying/provider world. I used to drive for a few girls, have made website for them and consider myself their friends and vice versa. The point you brought up is PRECISELY why this board was started. I had heard complaints from both
providers and hobbyists that other boards were getting flooded with bs. I will not name names as I feel it inappropriate but you seem pretty savvy on which ones they are.

I absolutely give every one the benefit of the doubt when accused. If you want to check out another site I run www.intense-training.com, you will see the nature of the discussions lends itself to a delicate nature just like ours. You will also see I have held 15000+ unique members.

I'd suggest that if you permit reviews that you only allow them on sites that allow you and your clients dignity and privacy. We MUST support the sites that are listening to us!

I am going change my No Review Policy today to a list of approved sites where reviews are a supportive resource rather than a way to tear us down.

Types Of Problem Boards

In my experience problem boards can be roughly put into two categories;

Lawless Board Owners

This is where you hear about provider's reviews being held hostage in return for favours; a provider's reviews are removed from a board and the provider told that they won't be returned to her profile unless some type of favour is performed. That favour is usually unpaid sex. If that favour is not given, the provider is threatened with her business being ruined through whatever means the board owner has.

Malicious Core Posters

This is a board that has essentially been taken over by a core of members who create a hostile and dangerous board culture. They do this by using multiple handles to attack both providers and other male posters who do not toe the party line. If they are banned, they sign up again under a new handle. They are very hard to get rid of because they have more persistence and much more free time than most mods or owners and will spend hours daily on "their" board maintaining "their" values. They're a little bit like pesticide-immune cockroaches.

Usually these values are pronounced hostility to newbie male posters, particularily those who post a first review. If you are not one of the core, the validity of a newbie review will be rudely challenged and very often the newbie is accused of being a "shill", meaning the poster is either a friend of the provider or the provider herself. Shilling does happen on any board, but the reaction on these malicious boards is very much out of proportion to how often shilling really occurs. Basically, newbie males aren't welcome.

There is also an incredible amount of hostility towards providers. They are routinely attacked through degrading sexual comments, the posting of fake negative reviews that attack the woman's looks, intelligence and basic humanity. Routinely these reviews will declare the provider to be much heavier and older than she is, question her hygiene in the crudest terms possible, and that she had drug, alcohol, or mental problems. The last bit is included to pre-emptively discredit the provider who if she questions the fake, will be be ridiculed as drunk, stoned, or crazy, and that anything she may say is without merit. Most often the "reviewer" has not even met the provider, let alone had a session with her.

The Heavier/Stupid/Geriatric/Dirty/Drunk/Stoned/Crazy template is extremely common in fakes; if you see it in a review, particularily if the provider is questioning its validity, it's almost always a fake review. Watch for it. This "review" will often be posted on multiple boards under multiple handles as to cause maximum damage to a provider's reputation, and the provider followed to other boards she may post in and attacked there as well.

They will also hunt down a provider's real name and other personal information and post it publicly. This is extremely dangerous. They will poster a provider's neighbourhood to out her to landlords and neighbours. They may stalk the provider online or physically. They will contact the provider through emails and private messages threatening to divulge her information to the IRS/CCRA, law enforcement, family members, employers and child services. They will make similar threats to other male board members they dislike.

This hostility drives board members and potential board members away to other boards with a friendlier culture. This leaves the board owner watching his paying members -most often the providers - leave, and his revenue take a hit.

Really, these boards serve no-one well except the core members who've hijacked it. Lurkers are afraid to become newbie posters. Providers won't pay to advertise on a site used to damage her reputation and livelihood. There's alway a few members who try to stick around in hopes of making the board a better place, but they will eventually burn out and leave. Guys looking for valid information on providers move onto other sites as well.

The best thing to do is not allow that kind of destructive culture take hold on your board, because it can quickly deteriorate past the point of no return. It's not easy, and I really admire board owners and members who have been able to do that.

No sympathy for big pimpin' boards; no man slaps me around, and neither do problem review boards.

I have received a number of emails telling me that starting this board will put me in danger. That's exactly why this board is necessary; we should not have to be afraid. I will report anything that happens to me here, as it only reinforces the need for this board's creation. None of this is new; problem escort review boards have had years to get it together and respect the women who make their business possible. If they have not, I have little sympathy.

Review boards that use bullying, extortion, and censorship as regular business practices and that encourage clients to post "enhanced" reviews are a disgrace to the industry and demean both escorts and clients. And they make their money from us, escorts and clients. Unless a review board is supportive of fair business practices and of the dignity of both escorts and clients, it is nothing more than a parasite.

"Do what I say or I'll destroy you".
"Make me my money, bitch, and keep your mouth shut".

What does that sound like to you? Like a pimp maybe? Doesn't everybody hate pimps? Then why do we have corrupt review boards acting as defacto pimps? Without reviews, review boards can't generate income. They're counting on us, escorts and clients, to continue to generate income for them and while we're at it, smile, look pretty, and shut the fuck up.

Do we want to be these board's bitch? Ladies? Gentlemen?

If not, tell me why. Were you banned without cause? Did someone try to extort sex from you and threaten to use the boards to ruin your business if you didn't comply? Guys, did you have reviews not published because you refused to endanger escorts by saying they provided services that they did not provide?

Let me know. I think there are many of us; and if so, we have the power to make Escortlandia a hell of a lot better. As well, are there boards or resources that you think operate fairly? I can add them to the IWTB approved links in the sidebar.
